This is my take on Breakout, created for the 20 Games Challenge — a project focused on rapid, small-scope game development.

Goals:

  • Build a classic brick-breaker using Godot 4
  • Practice physics, score tracking, and game state management
  • Improve feedback and flow with bounce logic and sound cues

This isn’t a full remake — it’s a hands-on exercise to explore ball control, collisions, and incremental progression.

Controls:

  • Left / Right Arrows (or A / D): Move Paddle
  • Enter / Space: Launch Ball

Features:

  • Paddle bounce with directional control
  • Ball reset and increasing speed
  • Brick destruction with scoring and sound
  • Life system with game reset
  • High score saving between sessions

About the Challenge:

The 20 Games Challenge is all about shipping 20 simple games, fast — no polish, no perfectionism. Just building momentum through small, complete projects.

Feedback Welcome:

This is another step forward. If you’re doing the challenge too, let’s connect — or just let me know what you think.

Thanks for playing.
